Our Educators
Our educators are the heart of what happens here. They're the ones building relationships with your children every day, noticing what captures their attention, and creating space for meaningful learning to unfold.
We've been thoughtful about who joins our team. Every educator brings genuine care for young children, strong qualifications, and the kind of presence that helps children feel safe and known. They're not supervising play. They're engaging alongside children, facilitating intentional learning experiences shaped by the Early Years Learning Framework and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline.
Qualifications & Professional Learning
Every team member holds a current Blue Card and maintains First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications. Beyond these essentials, our educators bring deep understanding of child development, play-based pedagogy, and contemporary early childhood practice.
We invest seriously in professional growth because good educators never stop learning. Our team attend workshops, conferences, and specialist training in areas like inclusion, STEM, literacy, and sustainability. We run internal mentoring and make time for critical reflection on practice. Not as a compliance exercise, but because it's how we stay current and keep getting better at what we do.
Above Ratio Staffing
We staff above mandated ratios because it genuinely changes what's possible. It means educators have time to connect with children properly, to follow their curiosity, and to offer the individual attention that quality education requires. It creates a calmer environment where children feel settled and secure.
Our team bring diverse strengths including music, art, storytelling, science, and nature based learning. This creates richer experiences and keeps our program alive.
Partnerships with Families
Our educators see themselves as partners in your child's learning. They'll take time to know your family, communicate openly about development, and work alongside you to support your child's individual needs and interests. We believe this relationship between home and centre is fundamental to children flourishing.
Our Exceeding Rating
Ascot Early Childhood holds an Exceeding rating across all seven quality areas of the National Quality Standard. This reflects what we do every day: staffing above ratio, employing qualified and experienced educators, delivering curriculum grounded in research and reflective practice, maintaining environments that are safe and thoughtfully resourced, and building genuine relationships with families.
It's not a badge we display. It's how we operate.
